RFID baggage
RFID baggage tags reduce errors caused by manual or bar code distribution. The RFID baggage tag can input the information of multiple transfer baggage destinations, so as to avoid multiple baggage bar code labels for the same baggage due to multiple transfer. Moreover, RFID can be read in large quantities at the same time, and it can quickly determine whether there is misclassification in the same batch of luggage. If you need to find a specific baggage, you can also find it quickly by using the handheld search function.
Using RFID luggage tags can reduce errors caused by manual operations or barcode sorting. RFID tags can store routing information for multiple connecting flights, avoiding the need to attach multiple barcode labels during transfers. RFID can also be read in bulk, allowing quick verification of whether luggage in the same batch has been misclassified. When searching for a specific piece of luggage, handheld RFID readers can be used to quickly locate it.
Improve Baggage Handling Efficiency
RFID tags enable contactless scanning. As baggage moves along conveyor belts, readers can automatically capture tag information. This is faster and more efficient than traditional barcode scanning, significantly shortening baggage sorting and handling times while accelerating the overall process.
Reduce Lost and Mishandled Baggage
RFID technology allows real-time tracking of each piece of luggage. From the check-in counter to the aircraft cargo hold, every stage can be precisely monitored. If a bag is mistakenly sent to the wrong flight or destination, the system immediately triggers an alert, effectively preventing loss or mishandling and improving passenger satisfaction.
Real-Time Information Updates and Queries
Passengers and airline staff can access the latest baggage status anytime through the system. For example, passengers can use a mobile app to check whether their luggage has been loaded onto the aircraft or whether it has arrived at the baggage carousel after landing. This transparency helps reduce passenger anxiety.
Optimize Ground Staff Deployment
With automated RFID tracking, ground staff can manage baggage flow more accurately, reducing the time spent on manual inspections and searches. This enables better allocation of manpower to other critical service areas.
Enable Data-Driven Insights
The massive amount of data collected by RFID systems can be analyzed to identify baggage handling patterns and bottlenecks. Airports and airlines can use these insights to optimize processes, forecast traffic trends, and make smarter operational decisions.
